The Right To Know

In 2007-2008, Rozmai Media Center implemented a project called The Right To Know

With support of the European Commission in Ukraine, Rozmai and Open Society Foundation with other NGOs brought up the problems of the marginalized groups of Ukrainian society (children with special needs, handicapped people, people affected by HIV/AIDS, drug addicts, prisoners with infectious diseases, sex minorities etc.). Special importance was given to gender issues, such as gender equality, prevention of household violence, sex workers' rights, and so on.

We produced, with participation of journalists, human rights groups, and experts, regular radio programs on National Radio, covered the issues in the Internet, and conducted a series of round tables for legislators. We also produced a series of Public Service video spots and a documentary film.
